Adrian Madrid

Born in 1988 in Cartagen, Spain, Adrian Madrid is currently studying Fine Arts in Murcia.

I try to learn a bit more every day, I try to discover in each person, book or object, something new that can make me open my eyes.

Earlier this year he had group exhibitions in Bilbao (Spain) and New York (USA). He also have forthcoming events planed in Murcia, Cartagena and Seville (Spain). His first solo exhibition “Phobias” taking place this November in Valencia (Spain). Adrian Madrid also has won several awards, and is one of the ten photographers of the “Sin Título” collective.

Alex Dukal

Alex Dukal’s enchanting and whimsical landscapes and creatures are painted to perfection; understated blue skies, enigmatic charming characters basking in soft sunlight make his illustrations dream-like and surreal. IdN

Born and brought up in Patagonia, Argentina, Alex Dukal’s comic and illustration work started appearing in the legendary “Fierro” magazine from a very young age. He studied at the Manuel Belgrano National School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires. After graduation he dedicated himself to painting and teaching illustration in his hometown. Alex has worked as web designer for some time but eventually decided to follow his passion for illustration.

Alex Dukal has been working with clients, design agencies and children’s books publishers from all around the world and is a member of the Argentina’s Illustrators Forum.

My first encounter with Chinese paintings was in 1984, at the age of 10, when my father brought some painted scrolls and calligraphy artworks from his trip to China. Since then this ‘genre’ of painting fascinated me as much as the miniature paintings from South Asia.

Chinese paintings offer one-of-a-kind experience with their intricate simplicity, fluidity of strokes and spontaneous expressions.

Starting around 4000 B.C. traditional Chinese painting has developed continuously over a period of more than six thousand years. Its growth has inevitably reflected the changes of time and social conditions. In its early stage of development, Chinese painting was closely related to the other crafts, from pottery to the decorations used on the bronzes, carved jade and lacqerware… more
