Landscape photography by John Parminter

Under - Art, Geography, Inspiration, Nature, Photography

This spectacular landscape photography by John Parminter offers ever-changing views of mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes of Scottish Highlands and English Lake District.

The breathtaking beauty and harsh ruggedness of Scotland and Wales, home to some of the UK’s most amazing sceneries, is a constant source of inspiration both to explore and photograph.

I was born and brought up in a rural community in the English county of Cumbria, home to the Lake District or Lakeland as it’s sometimes known.

The fells and mountains of Cumbria have always been a big influence on me and I’m regularly walking and running over them either for pleasure or in competition.

After spending many years enjoying the scenery that’s on offer, I decided to try and capture, in images, the natural beauty that I’m fortunate to live and spend my recreational time in.

I’ve had tremendous enjoyment capturing these images and hope to pass on some of their pleasure to you, they are for your enjoyment to view as much as mine.

I loved these photos. It reminded me of my time in England, a place I still pine for. Having said that, the one thing I noticed now that I’m living in Australia is that none of these photos have much light in them. The landscapes look foreign to me not because of their topography but because the sun is only peeking through, at best.

    Lovely!

your images are abolutely spellbinding.I have recently taken up painting(due to a knee replacement op.had time to waste),would you mind if I paint one of your images in oil?it is for experience not financial gain and would be very grateful as I can’t get to these places myself.
